Today's question is:  I have had a breast augmentation. I am currently breast feeding and my natural breast tissue due to enlargement with lactation is giving a double bubble effect over the implant. Have you seen something like this before?

The increased volume from engorged breasts can either create the illusion of a double bubble or cause the implant to drop below the IMF if the fold has been violated. You just have to sit tight and wait for you lactation to stop and your glands to regress. Then we can know for sure.

Ask Dr. Stile

A new feature we have been working on is "Ask Dr. Stile" which is an open forum allowing people to ask general questions on Plastic Surgery and other procedures we offer. This week’s question comes from Ellen S who asks "if you have saline implants & one bursts…can you tell right away & how long should you wait before re-implantation?"

If a saline implant was to burst you would notice immediately due to a pronounced change in physical appearance and a saline implant can be replaced almost immediately
